The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio is proud to announce the return of its famous Bed Race event on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the North Parking Lot of Easton Town Center. The Bed Race aims to raise $ 75,000 to provide 300 homes to local families in need. The Bed Race is home to teams of five who fundraise and race with twin beds on wheels on 75-meter tracks to compete for the Bed Race champion. The event also features a parade, kids’ zone, raffles, rewards, live music and more.
“The Bed Race really allows the people of central Ohio to run and rally for their neighbors in need. It’s an exceptional time, but it’s really a question of impact; we are committed to raising awareness and raising funds to move children from the ground to warm beds, â€said FBCO President Steve Votaw. The event also offers “Just for fun” and “Competitive” divisions and welcomes any runner over 13 years old. Teams can be made up of friends, family and colleagues. Teams from Easton, BMI Federal Credit Union, Big Lots and other organizations in central Ohio are on this year’s Bed Race list.
