Recall of Avalon bedroom furniture sold at Rooms To Go
Bad paint prompted Avalon Furniture to recall a line of bedroom furniture sold exclusively at Rooms To Go.
The exact problem with approximately 9,500 sets of Cottage Town bedroom furniture, as stated by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice: “The base paint used on the parts of the furniture collection contains lead levels that exceed the federal standard for lead paint.
“Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can have adverse health effects.”
This covers parts of sets sold in White (Group # 2481, Item # 1-8, 10), Black (Group # 2483, Item # 1-8, 10) and Gray (Group # 2485, Item n ° 1-8, 10). The Seffner, Florida-based furniture store chain sold them from October 2019 through April.
