Cheryl Hayes of Inspired Tire is doing her part to save the environment by giving used tires a second life. She takes old tires from cars, bikes, motorcycles and lawn mowers to create colorful ottomans, mirrors, tables and swings. Each of its products is unique and adds a bold splash of color to any space.

You would never know that Hayes’ bumblebee pouf, sunflower mirror, or floral table was already tired.

“Living simple is good for the soul,” she captioned a video. “If you look around and see the mess and realize you had to buy all of this, well, that makes you think. Recycle, reuse, reuse, recycle.

Even Hayes’ simple tire swing is eye-catching. She painted the used tire white, covered it in peach, pink and yellow pinks, and painted the interior pink.

“The process can be difficult at times,” Hayes wrote in a blog post. “Creating something out of what other people think of as nothing is so rewarding for me. I’ve always been the type to think outside the box. It seems to come naturally to me, and I hope that by sharing what I do, I can inspire others to do the same.
