Bisley Office Furniture Company Appoints First Creative Director

Newport-based office furniture maker Bisley appointed Jeanine Goddard as its first creative director.

Jeanine takes up her new role after four years as Showroom and Interior Designer at Bisley, where she was responsible for the development and improvement of its showroom in London and in Bisley’s global subsidiaries around the world, including Dubai, New York, Paris and Düsseldorf.

Jeanine trained as a cabinetmaker in Germany and studied interior design. She went on to work with several of the world’s largest interior companies in Munich, including the luxury German kitchen company Bulthaup.

She also trained with Osram Light Consulting, in order to develop innovative and sustainable lighting solutions for clients.

Jeanine moved to the UK 25 years ago where she set up a successful interior design consultancy, before joining Bisley in 2017.

His new role will allow him to report and work closely with Bisley CEO Richard Costin, his record including the creative direction of a new product development team.

Mr. Costin said: “This is the first time we have appointed a Creative Director and Jeanine was the natural choice.

“This is an extremely important role for Bisley and his appointment demonstrates our long-term commitment to our people and our design focus for the future, following recent investments in woodmaking plants and of steel. Jeanine’s remarkable industry experience and design expertise will be invaluable as we seek to expand and diversify our product lines and enter new global markets.

Jeanine said; “Developing new products is something that really inspires me, because for the first time, I’m being asked to come up with new ideas and use new materials.

“Since my father, who loved working with natural materials, put me on my path, I have loved furniture and design all my life, and I have always been surrounded by brands dedicated to quality and craftsmanship. Bisley is no different.

Bisley recently won the Manufacturer of the Year award at the Mixology Awards, the cutting edge celebration of the best projects, products and people in commercial interior design.
